Watch the FLAVIVACCINE video to discover groundbreaking efforts to combat mosquito-borne viruses
New video highlights our mission to develop a vaccine against mosquito-borne diseases amid rising global health threats.
The FLAVIVACCINE project has released a new video highlighting the team’s innovative research and impactful mission. This video sheds light on how the project’s multidisciplinary approach is designed to tackle the growing threat of flavivirus infections worldwide, with a special focus on emerging viruses driven by climate change.
The video introduces viewers to FLAVIVACCINE’s vision, showcasing the efforts of top scientists and experts across Europe working collaboratively to develop a vaccine capable of protecting against multiple flaviviruses with a single dose. The video explores the unique challenges posed by flaviviruses such as Zika, dengue, and West Nile fever, and presents FLAVIVACCINE’s potential to deliver a safe and effective solution against these mosquito-borne threats.
The spread of flaviviruses is becoming increasingly dangerous due to the expanding reach of mosquitoes. Of the 500 million people infected by flaviviruses each year, as many as 100,000 die as a result.
