FLAVIVACCINE presented at the 9th Asia Dengue Summit in Singapore
FLAVIVACCINE was presented to an international audience at the 9th Asia Dengue Summit, held in Singapore from 15 to 17 June 2026.
Project coordinator Julien Pompon, from the Institut de recherche pour le développement (IRD), introduced FLAVIVACCINE during the session “New Challenges: from Virus Evolution to Climate Change”, presenting the project’s innovative approach to targeting mosquito saliva factors as a way to block flavivirus transmission and disease.
The presentation offered an important opportunity to share FLAVIVACCINE’s scientific vision with a large community of clinicians, public health experts, researchers and stakeholders working on dengue and other mosquito-borne diseases. The Summit, which brings together leading voices in the dengue field, provided a valuable platform to discuss how new research findings can contribute to future prevention and intervention strategies.
By taking part in this high-level international event, FLAVIVACCINE strengthened its visibility within the global arbovirus research community and contributed to the wider dialogue on innovative tools to tackle the growing burden of dengue and related flaviviral diseases.
